Cost of Ownership:

Amenities Burden

An obvious financial burden for Beaver Ridge owners is the pool (guests pay a premium as well, even during the off-season).  Not many days in Canaan Valley are warm enough for a comfortable swim, yet the inability of current board members to get along with neighbors thrusts the weight of maintenance costs almost entirely on the association.

Lost revenue on fixed‑price amenities also means higher fees which hold down sales.

Neighbors now go to the indoor and outdoor pools at Canaan Valley Resort, where they can swim year-round and pay only for what they want when they want it.
